Edward Jones Student Athlete of the Month: December

Goshen High School and Edward Jones are proud to announce the student-athlete of the month award to recognize athletic and academic excellence.  A senior male and female student-athlete will be selected from August-May each school year.  At the end of the year, a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student athlete of the month, as selected by the GHS coaching staff.

The winners of the Edward Jones Student-Athlete of the Month Award for December are:

Hailey Mast and Zack Barker with Edward Jones Representative Ryan Drake.

-Hailey MastHailey is the daughter of Jeremy and Nikki Mast. She has two sisters Alex and Regan.  Hailey is a guard on the girls basketball team.  She has participated in girls soccer and was a 4 year letter winner. Hailey has received the Coaches Award for girls soccer.  She has a 3.65 GPA. Hailey is involved in Building Trades, Peer Assisting Caring Teens (PACT), and Stay in Bounds at Goshen High School.  Hailey has been named a Kiwanis Scholar Athlete throughout her high school career for her hard work both in and out of the classroom. After high school, she plans on doing a construction apprenticeship.

-Zack Barker: Zack is the son of Rob and Shari Barker. He has five brothers Zane, Nick, Michael, Bradley, and Craig.  Zack has participated in basketball the past four seasons as a forward. He is involved in boys track and field where he is a two time letter winner.  Zack is involved with Peer Assisting Caring Teens (PACT) and the National Honor Society at Goshen High School. Zack has been selected to the Academic Honors Banquet the past three years. Zack has a 4.04 GPA. He has received the Kiwanis Scholar Athlete award throughout his high school career for his outstanding grades while participating in athletics. After high school, he plans to attend Purdue University to study engineering.
