Athletic Department Information
The end of the school year signifies the start of “summer” workouts for all of our athletic teams. While not required, all perspective GHS student-athletes are strongly encouraged to participate in our summer opportunities and to register for sports early. Please read the information below about summer opportunities and registering for 21-22 athletics.
Eligibility: To participate in activities from the end of school until June 26, students either need to have competed in athletics for their school in 20-21 or have a new physical dated on or after 4/1/21 plus new concussion/cardiac awareness forms. To participate in any activities after July 5, 2021, physical exams and concussion/cardiac arrest forms for 2021 – 2022 school year must be on file in the GHS athletic office. This paperwork may be picked up in the athletic office at GHS or may be printed off on the athletic website. The concussion/cardiac arrest forms and code of conduct/emergency forms can be completed online at goshenredhawks.org. Moratorium week is from 6/28/21 – 7/4/21. No school facilities are available and no coaches can meet with students during this week.
Checklist for HS Athletic participation: (please call 533-0652 with questions): Current year physical exam, current concussion/cardiac arrest awareness forms, current emergency forms and code of conduct.
Athletics Website: The athletic department will be changing websites this summer. The current website, goshenredhawks.org, will become obsolete as of July 5, 2021. The new website is goshenathletics.com.
Eventlink: The athletic department uses a scheduling software called Eventlink. We strongly encourage all parents to create an Eventlink account to access Online Registration and current updates of activities. To create an account, visit Eventlink.com, Add Schools, Add Notification Contact Points, and Add My Calendars. Thanks.
Summer Sports Performances: Head Strength and Conditioning coach Tyler Miller offers every Sports performance sessions every Monday – Friday from 8:45 – 10 AM for boys and 10:45 – noon for girls. Check eligibility requirements to make sure you can attend. This program is customized to help each student-athlete improve their athleticism, so that time spent with their sport specific coach can be more focused on skill development.
Fall sports begin official in-season practices on: G Golf: Friday, 7/30/21 and all other fall sports (cheer, b/g cross country, football, b/g soccer, b tennis, Unified flag football, and volleyball): Monday, 8/2/21.
Winter sports: Cheer, b/g basketball, b/g swim & dive, and wrestling all officially begin in October or November.
Spring sports: Baseball, B Golf, Softball, G Tennis, Unified Track & Field, and B/G Track & field all officially begin in February or March.
Contest Schedules: Information for athletic contest schedules may be found on the athletic website. Please pay special attention to the year at the top of the schedule. If it still lists 2020-21, click the right arrow to proceed to the 2021-22 schedules.
Athletic Department Hours/Info: Goshen High School athletic office will be closed on Fridays during the summer and moratorium week, June 28 – July 4. Summer office hours for the athletic office will be Mondays – Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
