Boys Varsity Baseball
Boys Varsity Baseball Spring 2018-2019 About.
Transformational Statement: I lead to teach students and athletes how to lead with integrity and to serve their peers in order to positively grow their community.
The transformational statement is the reason our coaching staff is here. We want to develop our players as men. We want to be excellent role models to our players and to teach them what men of integrity looks like.
What I believe
As a coach I want to instill values into our players. I try to teach our kids their priorities should be these 4 things and to keep them in this order:
- Baseball (Athletics)
Faith- I have my personal faith and understand what I believe in. I want our players to understand what they believe and to keep that as their highest priority. Whatever they believe is going to help guide their judgement and it is my goal to help our players understand what they believe and why they believe in those things.
Family- Everybody has a different family structure. Families are their to support each other. I want our players to be available to their family and to serve their family members. It is important for our players to represent their last name in the best possible way.
Academics- Education is valuable. They may not use all the subject material they learn in school, but the skills developed in the classroom are valuable. We do not want to sacrifice learning for anything. It is important to learn new things daily and to develop into learners for a lifetime.
Baseball (Athletics)- Sports are a great opportunity to learn. I believe baseball teaches lessons no other sport can. I love this game and I want to share that love with our players. As long as baseball is not the focal point of their life and they are putting the other 3 things first, baseball can be a great use of time and energy to develop into a positive husband, father, and worker.
